AI coding agents can help engineers create custom geometry templates in MotorXP. In a practical example shared by Vladimir Kuptsov, Codex was used to build a MotorXP-PM template for a Halbach array rotor with multi-step magnetization, using a reference screenshot, MotorXP documentation and existing template examples.
Codex generated the JavaScript geometry code and JSON parameter descriptions, integrated the template into MotorXP and created its UI controls. After several debugging iterations, the template was working in about one hour, without the author manually writing or editing code.
